Describe when the cranking slows
Does the engine turn slowly after an overnight stop, when hot, or only intermittently? Tell us whether it starts eventually and whether there have been jump-starts or recent battery work.
A short recording made safely from inside the vehicle may help describe the symptom. Avoid repeated attempts if you notice smoke, a burning smell or another unsafe condition.
Test the starting system as a system
Battery condition, cable connections, power delivery and starter operation can affect cranking. A replacement battery or a successful jump-start does not establish why the symptom occurred.
Testing should identify confirmed findings before a part is recommended. Intermittent concerns may require more time or a follow-up plan.
Plan access and repair
Send the VIN or plate and registration state, current location and any previous test results. A safely parked vehicle is easier to assess than one exposed to traffic.
If another fault is found, the proposed repair should be explained and authorized separately. Some electrical or access issues may need specialist equipment or a shop.
